Arrah And The Ferns will be playing Little Rock's The Treehouse tonight. Arrah were label and state mates to Indiana's Margot and the Nuclear So& So's before they moved on to the now restructured V2. They released Evan Is A Vegan in 2006. Buy it for $9 and read more about them here.

Zykos, an Austin, Tx band, are back in 2007 with new demos. The most prominent of these has to be the new version of "Keep It Light." Much fuller and more mastered than the original, "Keep It Light" could turn out to be a beacon for Zykos' album, whenever they decide to release it. Keep an eye out for Zykos in 2007. Shearwater released Palo Santo in 2006 on Misra and, since, have been touring everywhere from Europe to Illinois, making a stop at Daytrotter. While no tour dates are currently on the band's website, many blogs have announced their effort towards a SXSW gig, The Hot Freaks!, which will include Shearwater.
